Fast forward to Saturday morning and I’d been charged a “late checkout fee” of $170.00, even though we were still booked for another day and weren’t checking out that day. Friday was great the hotel had great food and games.
Turns out, he reported us for being late to check out. I checked in at approximately 1 am on Thursday night, so there was no need for room service in the morning at 9 am when the housekeeper came, I asked him to skip us and he moved to the next room. But what they don’t tell you is that when you check in they over authorize your card for double the amount, and claim they will give the extra charge back to you at check out, which I was willing to accept seeing as I traveled here and had no choice to. On the confirmation they say they will collect _X_ amount for a resort fee, which is clear when you’re booking it. Hotel was seemingly accommodating… at first.
